Art in Context is an ongoing collaborative project begun with students in my Spring 2025 Art History II course. Each student has chosen one year from the Modern period and created a page covering events in Art and culture. In the future, students in Studio Art, Art Appreciation, and more Art History courses will make additional contributions.Â
This project serves as both an online art magazine and an example of the benefits of collaborative, project-based learning. By bringing together diverse perspectives and creative inquiry methods, the project deepens our collective understanding of art's historical significance while revealing its vital connections to contemporary social issues, cultural movements, and personal expression.
