Antoni Rossell is a performer of medieval music and director of C. Courtly Music Consort. In 2018, he was awarded the Enderrock Prize for Best Classical Music CD for the album Las Cantigas de Santa María de Alfonso X el sabio y Galicia (Columna Música, 2017). He has recorded several CDs of medieval and traditional music, and has recently presented the book-disc Ar de provença. Cançôes dos trovadores by Augusto de Campos, Antoni Rossell, Luiz Fiaminghi and Valeria Vitar (Cobalto Edit., V. de Moura Mendonça Livros, São Paulo, Brazil, 2024), as well as the CD Ballads of Love and Death – Romances del amor y de la muerte (Antoni Rossell & Brasil Opus Musica, Columna Música, Barcelona, 2024). He starred in the film Le Cid chanté par Antoni Rossell (ENS-Lyon, France), directed by Carles Heusch in 2017. Antoni Rossell is Associate Professor of Romance Philology at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and director of the Arxiu Occità (Institut d'Estudis Medievals, UAB).
