Primary Research - Equipment Test

During my primary research phase, I used a day where the Olympus was free to test all of the equipment and make sure I knew how to power it up and use it.

I took videos of this process to document it.

Powering Up

I go through the process of powering up the sound system in the Olympus.

Playback Mac Setup

I make sure the Mac is connected to the mixer through the Scarlett interface.

QL5 Testing

I tested the desk and made sure I knew where to find things in the menus. I then recorded myself showing how to do specific things such as custom fader pages, EQ, dynamics and routing.

Grid Checks

I checked the flow path for all the audio running to the grid (centre fill and stagebox). When moving the grid these need to be disconnected as there is not enough cable length to reach all the way down.
