Below is our crew communication discussing rehearsal timings. This allowed me to plan ahead on my schedule for when I needed to arrive by.
It was important to share timings for when rehearsals were happening.
When I had to miss a few rehearsals due to other reasons I made sure to keep in contact with current ideas and contribute my own ideas.
I talked with Tom Hatch, the venue technician, about whether the hearing loop can be working for the show.
More on this, most of my further research and communication was verbal or in person. Overall, the induction loop worked well on the production.
Below is where I shared my personal scan copy of the script with everyone to make sure everyone has an easily accessible copy.
Dan (director) asked if there is a possibility of trimming MTI tracks on QLab. I tried this out (logbook Week 9) and shared my findings with him.
I was then asked if I could create an edited rehearsal track for choreography. I recorded the track from the MTI rehearsal page using OBS Studio to record my desktop audio. I then loaded this into Logic Pro where I made splices in the track where the removed section starts and ends. I then bounced this to an MP3 file to share in the chat. Once I have the show tracks I will replicate this edited track in QLab to have an official version to use live.
During production meeting 3, I discussed with Dan about mic plotting. After this I shared my mic plot with Grace, singing teacher, to get her perspective on it with singing and harmonies. This will allow me to get the best possible mic spread as she will know who has different singing parts.
After getting an updated cast list from Dan, I noticed there were a few extra lines not fulfilled on the list, so I talked with Dan and Grace about these lines. I then had a brief meeting with Grace about plotting where she shared who is a strong singer in big numbers such as Consider Yourself.
Once the mic plots were complete, I shared with the production group. I also confirmed with Dan which cast would be playing for which performance.
When I updated the plots, I shared these on the group too.
Dan requested some sound effects in rehearsal notes, I responded and acted to make sure this happened for the next day.
Before our first mic run, I informed the cast about the use of radio mics. When we encountered issues with mic connection I gave them notes informing them to come to us to check the mic before every show.
