Students will answer simple comprehension questions and review vocabulary from the reading.

They will practise reading the conversation aloud, answer verbal comprehension questions using complete Arabic sentences, and complete fill-in-the-blank sentences related to the reading. Students will review greetings and expressions of courtesy, including صَبَاحُ الْخَيْرِ، صَبَاحُ النُّورِ، كَيْفَ حَالُكَ؟، بِخَيْرٍ، الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ، مِنْ فَضْلِكَ، شُكْراً جَزِيلاً، and عَفْوًا. They will also identify past-tense verbs in the reading and practice the past tense verbs on p.22.

They will practise identifying past-tense verbs, matching masculine and feminine forms, and using selected verbs in simple sentences. Students will also learn to distinguish between التَّنْوِين and أَل التَّعْرِيف through examples such as كِتَابٌ → الْكِتَابُ، قَلَمٌ → الْقَلَمُ، and دُكَّانٌ → الدُّكَّانُ. They will complete guided grammar activities and practise reading and writing numbers from 1-10.

In Class: Students will review greetings, expressions of courtesy, past-tense verbs, and the difference between التَّنْوِين and أَل التَّعْرِيف. They will practise using familiar vocabulary and language structures in short conversations and simple written sentences. Students will read and discuss the Arabic proverbs الابْتِسَامَةُ صَدَقَةٌ and لِكُلِّ دَاءٍ دَوَاءٌ, focusing on their pronunciation and general meanings. They will also review numbers from ١ إلى ١٠ through oral and written activities and complete exercises related to the reading, vocabulary, and grammar.
Homework: Review the vocabulary and language structures from the unit. Practise the masculine and feminine forms of the past-tense verbs, read and write numbers from 1-10, and read the proverbs الابْتِسَامَةُ صَدَقَةٌ and لِكُلِّ دَاءٍ دَوَاءٌ aloud.
