MET
The IBDP Course Syllabus ensures HQLT. It is informed by the school guiding statements, latest in IB curriculum review, the BQA, and CIS standards. It is reinforced by the school well-being project and global citizenship initiatives. And it is improved by the interests of students as expressed in their subject registrations, enabling us to widen our subject offerings as needed. Our DP programme development in the past five years focused on Wellbeing, which was commended by the DP evaluation team. Please refer to pages 12-15 of the Programme Evaluation Report. IB CAS activities are highly student initiated: they write proposals for approval, enabling them to experience the real-world and equipping them with competences to be world- and future-ready. C2
Standard C3 (Core). Global citizenship, intercultural learning and digital citizenship are intentionally planned for within the curriculum to ensure students are well prepared for life beyond school.
MET
The school PLT developed its definitions of global citizenship, intercultural learning, and digital citizenship. But these are due for amendments to align with the "local root, global reach" tagline that is snappy and apt and easy to recall. The school offers digital society course and has the BYOD policy to promote digital citizenship and appropriate use of technology. The school's Global Citizenship Initiatives, the APGMUN, and participation in the Global Citizenship Course provides opportunities for students to demonstrate intercultural and digital and global citizenship skills simultaneously and concurrently with the learning program. The GCED Innovative School Code guides our development of standard C3.
