You can subscribe to email notification of Alerts, Advisories and Updates posted to that page by emailing mricci@wakegov.com or by calling 919-250-4462. This web site will include latest postings also.
The USFDA posts recalls at Recalls, Market Withdrawals and Safety Alerts. You can sign up on their site to receive these notifications.
The FDA also provides consumer updates in a number of categories.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission also provides a list of recalls for other items, including toys, baby supplies and furniture.

ReadyNC app for iphone and Droid
The ReadyNC mobile app is an all-in-one tool to help people get ready for everything from traffic jams to hurricanes and ice storms. The app gives information on real-time traffic and weather conditions, river levels, evacuations and power outages.

In addition, Wake County has developed its own alert system through email, phone, or text message.
Residents, visitors, and businesses of Wake County (including Cary and parts of Cary in Chatham County) can sign up to receive alerts for a variety of situations occurring in their area, including severe weather impacts, unexpected road closures or evacuations of buildings or neighborhoods. Residents can choose to receive alerts by phone, text or email. Sign up for ReadyWake Alerts online, or go to any Wake County Public Library and ask for assistance. This is a new system, so if you were signed up under the old system you must sign up again.
