The Free Pharmacy Program provides free prescription medications to North Carolina residents who are uninsured and fall at or below 300% of the Federal Poverty Level. Qualifications and Application
Requirements:
Do not have insurance
Are a resident of North Carolina
Are being treated by a UNC doctor in a UNC clinic
Have low income (less than 200% of the Federal Poverty Level)

Cost Plus Drug Company is an online pharmacy dedicated to bringing down the price of prescription medicines. Free enrollment. Read the mission statement for explanation of pricing.

Needy Meds -- Offers assistance with medication through a free discount card; also provides information about a variety of low cost/free health services nationwide.
SingleCare--Research their negotiated prices for medications and receive a coupon. Free.
GoodRx--compares prices, provides coupons. No enrollment required for basic plan. Cannot be combined with insurance but may be cheaper. Normally your physician or the rehabilitation center will arrange for your home physical therapy. If you need to find a therapist on your own, you can do a Google search for “home physical therapists in _____ County” or check with your insurance company to see who is within its network.

There are several commercial companies set up for non-emergency services. You can find these using a search engine and entering "medical transportation" and your city or county. To determine how reliable and safe they are, you can try a review site like yelp.com.
The North Carolina Division of Aging and Adult Services has an on-line list of medical transportation providers by county (Chatham and Wake Counties are not included).
In some cases Medicare, Medicaid, or other medical insurance providers will cover medical transportation. You should check your policy or talk to your caseworker.
