Level 23.2 is a sub-level to Level 23, part of Ending 2 to Level 23. It starts off by walking through a room leading into a hospital type hallway with a bunch of panels, benches, wooden chairs and other furniture in the path. This hallway is incredibly long, and has a lot of twists and turns. Once you reach the end of it there will be another set of double doors you will enter. The door will lock behind you and then the mini-chase with the Phaser begins.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Phaser will emit a very loud sound as it no-clips through the wall. Once it's free it will begin to pursuit you down the hallway that you ended up in. It appears to be floating through the hallway or walking in a very weird manner. Your objective is to get through all the obstacles in the way to get to the vent at the end of the hallway. You are left with a slightly unfair disadvantage due to the Phase being able to no-clip through its path just to get to you. However you are given a lot of time to run as it starts to clip through the wall. You must get into the vent and wait for the Phase to reach the vent before continuing as the level won't let you. Once the Phaser reaches the vent it will hold its arm out at you as it stares at you. It is unable to go into the vent so all you need to do is crawl through the vent until you reach the next level.
The Phaser is one of the entities residing within Level 23. It looks like the phantom smiler with the very skinny and stick-figure like body, but is fully there with sharp claws, pointed legs and a rhombus shaped head that's nothing but a glowing white void. It appears in the first path of Ending 2. It first shows up by phasing through the wall in the hallway playing a very loud sound, and starting to phase through everything in its path in an attempt to get to you. You must run back to the vent in the wall, but once you enter the vent that leads to the next section you must wait for the Phaser to get to the vent too in order to progress. Once it does get to the vent it just "stares" at you with it's hand reaching for you. This is the only time Phaser appears in Level 23, and just serves as a minor chase scene to the next section.
Level 23.3 is a sub-level to Level 23, part of Ending 2 to Level 23. It seems to resemble a construction area, with a circular path of metallic walkways and a path in the middle leading to the center below the cage and where the concrete slabs are suspended against. There is a lever that randomly spawns throughout the level too. Upon clicking on said lever it will cause the bottom concrete slab to rotate. In order to beat this level you must align the bottom slab with the top one. However every now and then the lights will go out, and the Cruelest will be released from the cage above. You must've move at all or the Cruelest will immediately begin to charge for you. Once you align the slabs correctly a cutscene will play where you jump into the pit, teleporting you to Level 24. The times to which the power cuts is completely random however.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There is a lever that spawns randomly on the metallic path. You must turn the lever until the bottom grey slab is aligned with the top one.
The Cruelest is another one of the entities within Level 23, more specifically the second part of Ending 2. The Cruelest has the basic body structure of a wyvern, with no legs to walk on, large hands and arms instead, exposed bones that seem to resemble a once rib-cage and a head with purple glowing lights. It's found in sub-level 23.3 and is located in a hanging cage in an unreachable place. However every periodically the lights in the sub-level go out and the Cruelest teleports out of the cage, it goes in a circle path around the level searching for someone. The only way to survive it is to not move at all. Moving at all, even if it's on the other side moving will cause it to immediately stop and go towards the person who moved. Once the Cruelest completes its rotation it will teleport back to its cage and the lights go back on.
