Academic Performance

MCAS - ELA

Above and to the right are graphs depicting school performance in accordance with the state's new student testing and graduation standards under the MERA. Ash shown above WRHS shows a strong ability to prepare students in ELA with a strong majority achieving advanced, over the standard. (1)

MCAS - Math

In the mathematics field, WRHS shares identical results as the ELA test, proving the schools strong skills in creating math literacy. This is well above the state's standard, beating it by over 11 measurable achievement points. (1)

MCAS -Tech/Eng

The Science and Tech/Eng section of the test shows contrary results. Before, WRHS was outperforming the state standard, but here, the school only matches the state standard. This is still an accomplishment, but the difference in proficiency could be fault to Tech/Eng classes being only optional elective courses. (1)

Plans of High School Graduates

To the left shows a chart organizing WRHS students' plans after graduation. A strong majority plan to attend a 4-year private or public institution, amounting to 74.6% of the school's population. This is much higher than the state average of only 57.8%. Other known strong majorities include 2-year public college and work, which are both less than the state average by 4.2 and 7.8 ppts consecutively. However, more students in the Tech/Eng classes plan to work after graduation than school average. (1)
