KREV — PRIVACY POLICY
Last updated: June 1, 2026
This policy explains what Krev ("the app", "we") collects, how it is used, and your
choices. Krev is a workout-tracking app with an AI physique-scan feature. We built it
to keep your data on your device wherever possible.
THE SHORT VERSION
- Your workouts, routines, measurements, and scan results are stored ON YOUR DEVICE.
- We do not have user accounts, and we do not sell your data.
- Photos you scan are sent to our AI provider only to generate your analysis, and are
not stored on a server by us. Only a small thumbnail is saved locally on your device.
- The only data that leaves your device is what's needed to run the AI scan and to
process subscriptions.
WHAT WE COLLECT AND WHY
1. Data you create in the app (stored on your device)
Workouts, routines, sets, reps, weights, bodyweight entries, circumference
measurements, and physique-scan results. This is stored locally on your device using
Apple's on-device database. We do not upload or back this up to our own servers. (If
you have iCloud enabled for the app, Apple may back it up under Apple's terms.)
2. Photos you choose to scan
When you run an AI physique scan, the photo you take or select is sent to our AI
provider (Google, via Firebase AI Logic / Vertex AI) solely to generate your analysis.
We do not retain your full photo on any server we control. After analysis, only a
small thumbnail is saved locally on your device so you can track progress over time.
You can delete scans in the app at any time.
3. Optional context for the scan
To make the analysis more accurate, the app may include details you provided during
onboarding or in your profile — such as sex, age, height, weight, and body
measurements — together with the photo when generating an analysis. This is used only
to produce your result.
4. Subscriptions
Krev Pro subscriptions are handled through Apple and our payments provider
(RevenueCat). Purchase and entitlement information is processed to unlock and restore
Pro features. We do not receive your full payment card details.
5. Camera and photo access
The app requests camera access only when you choose to take a scan photo, and photo
library access only when you choose to select one. You can decline, and use the app
without the scan feature.
6. Technical and abuse-prevention data
To protect the AI feature from abuse, the app uses Apple's App Attest / DeviceCheck
(via Firebase App Check). Our service providers may process limited technical
information (such as device or request metadata) as part of delivering the AI and
subscription services.
WHAT WE DO NOT DO
- We do not require you to create an account or give us your name or email to use Krev.
- We do not sell your personal data.
- We do not use your data for advertising.
- We do not run A/B experiments on you.
THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
Krev relies on a small number of providers to deliver specific features:
- Google Firebase AI Logic / Vertex AI — runs the physique-scan analysis.
- Google Firebase App Check — protects the AI feature from abuse.
- RevenueCat and Apple — process subscriptions.
Each provider handles data under its own privacy terms.
DATA RETENTION
Your in-app data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app. You
can erase your workout data at any time in Settings. Deleting a scan removes its locally
stored thumbnail.
CHILDREN
Krev is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your region), and we do
not knowingly collect personal information from them.
YOUR CHOICES
- Decline camera or photo access and skip the AI scan.
- Delete individual scans, or erase all workout data, in the app.
- Manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple account settings.
- Uninstall the app to remove the data stored on your device.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the
"Last updated" date above.
