• September 2024. For the third consecutive year, I have been named on Stanford University's list of the top 2% of scientists in the world.

• September 2024. Mrs. Ariany Carolina de Oliveira, a PhD student at UFMG, Brazil, joins our group as a visiting PhD student, working on the topic “Robust Output Feedback Tracking Control and Applications”. Welcome!   

• July 2024. I visit Beihang University and Tsinghua University in Beijing, China.

• May 2024. I participate in the review process to select the recipient of the Annual European Systems & Control PhD Thesis Award.

• April 2024. Our paper “Decoupling-Based LPV Observer for Driver Torque Intervention Estimation in Human-Machine Shared Driving Under Uncertain Vehicle Dynamics” is accepted for publication in the IEEE Transactions on Automation Science and Engineering.  

• April 2024. Our paper “Switched Dynamic Event-Triggered Control for String Stability of Nonhomogeneous Vehicle Platoons with Uncertainty Compensation” is accepted for publication in the IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Vehicles.  

• March 2024. Our paper “Cost-Effective Estimation of Vehicle Lateral Tire-Road Forces and Sideslip Angle via Nonlinear Sampled-Data Observers: Theory and Experiments” is accepted for publication in the IEEE/ASME Transactions on Mechatronics. 

• March 2024. I am a member of the Selection Committee Panel for the 2023 Best Paper Prize awarded by the journal ISA Transactions.

• March 2024. Our paper “Secure Estimation Using Partially Homomorphic Encryption for Unmanned Aerial Systems in the Presence of Eavesdroppers” is accepted for publication in the IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Vehicles.  

• January 2024. I join the editorial board of the journal IEEE/ASME Transactions on Mechatronics as a Technical Editor.

• January 2024. I join the editorial board of the journal ISA Transactions as an Associate Editor.

• December 2023. I am the Chair of the Selection Committee Panel for the 2023 Best Paper Prize of the IFAC journal Control Engineering Practice.

• December 2023. Our paper “A Survey on Fuzzy Control for Mechatronics Applications” is accepted for publication in the journal International Journal of Systems Science.  

• October 2023. I gave an invited talk “Human-in-the-Loop Driving Control Design for Intelligent Vehicles Under Multiple System Constraints” at the 2nd Workshop on Intelligent Estimation Algorithms for Smart Mobility (ANR ArtISMo), Université de Lorraine, France.

• October 2023. Marcia's work during her one-year PhD visit at LAMIH on “Fault Estimation for Nonlinear Parameter-Varying Time-Delayed Systems” is accepted for publication in the Applied Mathematics and Computation. Congratulations!

• October 2023. I am named again like the previous year on the list of top 2% Scientists of the World 2022 by Stanford University.

• October 2023. Our paper “Convex Stability Analysis of Mamdani-Like Fuzzy Systems with Singleton Consequents” is featured in the LAMIH News. 

• October 2023. Fernando's work during his PhD visit at LAMIH on “Event-Triggered Robust Path Tracking Control Considering Roll Stability under Network-Induced Delays for Autonomous Vehicles” is accepted for publication in the IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems.
