A family member of the Board in Nam-Dinh, Vietnam delivered the 2021-2022 scholarship to the Phams and Nguyens in September 2021. Below is a brief report of the students' performance and achievement last school year (2020-2021).
The Board decided to award extra money this year to help the families deal with the Covid hardship
Duong graduated as one of top students of his high school and was accepted to Ha-Noi University of Culture (https://huc.edu.vn/). Chau did not score well in the high school entrance exam and thus had to choose a private high school.
Mr. Duong was recognized by Ngo Quyen High School for achieving the highest score (27 out of 30) in his exam group (Group C is liberal arts).
Mr. Duong earned the recognition of excellence in his senior year at Ngo Quyen High School.
A small note about the school exams in Vietnam: all students must take a high school entrance exam and those score well gain entry into public high schools and others .

Mr. Thien did not score well in the high school entrance exam and opted to attend Nam-Dinh College of Economics & Technology (a vocational school). He'll be learning to become an auto repair technician; his mother feels that he's active, good with his hands, and he can easily get a job in the booming automobile market. We tend to agree with her. Nhai continues to excel in school, especially in English. She has indicated to her mother the aspiration to attend the prestigious Lê Hồng Phong High School for the Gifted with the focus in English. The Foundation bought her an English-Vietnamese dictionary and other books and study materials; we'll continue to look for resources to help her achieve the goal. Loc, the youngest child, is now in 3rd grade. Her second grade's report card shows she did well in all subjects.
