Siege armor

I only very briefly fought siege, but it was long enough to glean some small experience making the soft parts of armor for women.

Gambeson

side lacings taken from an old pair of boots

chest fitted using a pattern made by wrapping myself in duct tape and then flattening it

longer padded section in the back for kidney protection

shorter padded section in the front to reduce bulk under the big kidney belt

Neck Mitten

The geometry of this was fun, fussy and iterative, many versions made before I was happy with it.

Motocross Legs

at first the legs were white

I made templates from felt, then cut them out in linen and glued them onto the legs

Pelvic protection

bikini bottom sewed to bike shorts so there's a pocket inbetween the two layers in the front

Ballista Bolt Bag

Padded strap for comfort; made from a thrift store tablecloth

Helmet Bag

Modeled after a version made by Ollamh Lanea, this bag is strengthened with an inner canvas layer and has a padded strap for comfort.

The inside is lined with a recycled wool sweater that will snuggle oil onto your helmet when it's not in action
