Description
Ecosystem is a mobile game concept that I developed for my entrance exam at The Royal Danish Academy. The objective behind it was to create a design that would teach people about the funktion and fragile nature of our ecosystem.
Game Premise:
The player is presented with a damaged ecosystem in imbalance. Through actions such as the implementation or disposal of animals, plants and technology etc. can the player improves the ecosystem and thereby earns environment-specific currency and increases in level for "bio welfare".
As the game progresses, you gain access to more environments/ ecosystems where you can earn environment-specific currencies. These currencies can be used across environments/ecosystems to incorporate elements from one environment to another. Eg. do you have to use forest currency to introduce plants into the urban environment. In other words, cooperation between the different environments is required to achieve balance in them individual ecosystems.
