VTES turned ten years old August 2004, celebrating a Decade of Bloodletting. No other trading-card game aside from Magic: The Gathering® has enjoyed such long-standing popularity as Vampire: The Eternal Struggle.
White Wolf celebrates proudly a decade of nocturnal politics and blood drinking with two special anniversary sets in December 2004. This release has 2 sets of cards. These are fixed sets or factory sets of 100 cards in each set. Most of the cards are anniversary editions of original Jyhad and old V:TES core set cards. The cards are re-designed to use the new layout and clan backgrounds and the card text is updated for any errata or clarifications. There are 90 different anniversary cards in each set, so 180 cards between the two sets combined. The other 10 cards in each set will be new cards. These will be the same 10 new cards in both sets. The sets will come packaged in specially manufactured steel deck holders produced by Rook Steel Storage. These steel deck holders are a new, larger-size that cane holding around 110 sleeved cards, so you can use them to store and transport your VTES decks.
A few of the reprints have changed slightly. Notable among the changes are Anneke, whose special ability now more closely parallels Eagle's Sight, Camille Devereux, The Raven who had previously been two distinct vampires, and the four independent clan acceptance votes, Giovanni Acceptance, Invitation Accepted, Ravnos Acceptance, and Revocation of Tyre, which now work continuously.
