Project Reflection
I enjoyed making this fine-motor pegboard. It helped me continue to recognize how we can be creative and easily create solutions that are both engaging and challenging to our clients. A project like this is something I could easily work on while doing something else relaxing at home, yet can be very impactful to a client. On my last day of fieldwork, I got to work with a few students in having them use this pegboard. I was so pleased that they really enjoyed using it and were willing to struggle a bit in pushing them into the board, therefore helping strengthen their pincer grasp. I was also pleased that one child even voluntarily worked to complete the pattern with just looking at, which was one of the intended options in grading up.
