Culturally Responsive Teaching

Culturally responsive teaching (CRT) in art education creates activities that help students feel like they belong. Art lessons let students explore their identities and cultures while learning about others. Visual arts allow us to understand the human experience better through our senses. Arts educators who use CRT help students see shared human experiences and appreciate similarities and differences in cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
