Eligibility: The competition is open to students enrolled in classes 9-12 in participating schools or educational institutions.
It is an individual event.
Shipwreck is basically a speaking competition.
Each participant will get 3 minutes to make their case.
Gist of the event: You are given the role of famous celebrities/ fictional characters/ hypothetical characters. The ship is sinking, and the captain has only one life jacket left. You are on the ship with other famous celebrities/ fictional characters/ hypothetical characters. Sink into the given character and try to escape from the sinking ship by laying claim to the life jacket by using your impressive, convincing skills and proving that you deserve the only life jacket.
Make yourself appear prominent and better than any other person/ thing on board to win the life jacket and eventually win the event. The participants are judged on content, humour, cogent arguments, valid points, and audience response.
Respectful behaviour: All contestants are expected to maintain a respectful and professional attitude towards each other, the judges, and the competition staff.
Disqualification: Any violation of the rules, cheating, or misconduct may result in immediate disqualification from the competition.
