Paradoxes - Embrace the Contradictions
This competition challenges filmmakers to explore the fascinating world of paradoxes, where seemingly contradictory ideas can coexist. Paradoxes offer a rich ground for creative storytelling. This competition encourages filmmakers to challenge narrative conventions and create thought-provoking films that leave audiences pondering the complexities of our world.
Eligibility: The competition is open to students enrolled in classes 9-12 in participating schools or educational institutions.
Length of the movie : This will be communicated at the venue.
Team Composition: Each team should consist of a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 4 members.
Original Content: All movies submitted must be original works created by the participating students as per the theme given. Plagiarism and unauthorized use of copyrighted material are strictly prohibited.
Equipment: Participants can use any camera equipment DSLRs, or professional cameras only. Mobiles cannot be used. The focus should be on storytelling and creativity rather than on expensive equipment. Only one system will be provided in school to edit the movie.
Submission Format: The submission deadline will be communicated at the venue. Submission is to be made to the event coordinator in digital format.
Code of Conduct: All participants to ensure respectful and positive interactions throughout the competition.
Pre-Production Phase: Participants should plan their movie, including writing a script, developing characters, creating storyboards, and scouting locations.
Submission of scripts is mandatory before filming the videos
Production Phase: Time duration as per the attached schedule.
Post-Production Phase: Kindly refer to the schedule for the time allotted to edit and finalise your film. This includes adding music, sound effects, visual effects, and any necessary subtitles or credits.
Respectful behaviour: All contestants are expected to maintain a respectful and professional attitude towards each other, the judges, and the competition staff.
Intellectual Property: Movies created during the competition remain the intellectual property of the contestants. However, by participating, contestants grant permission for the competition organizers to share their content for promotional purposes.
Disqualification: Any violation of the rules, cheating, or misconduct may result in immediate disqualification from the competition.
Natural lighting alone is to be used while shooting the videos.
The quality of narration, storyboarding, voice-overs, synchronized sound, and editing will be evaluated.
