SOUTH DORSET RADIO SOCIETY EVENTS

Every year the SDRS take part in 'Special Events' where a Radio Station is set up: these are usually open to the public. Information about these events is published in the Societies monthly newsletter, the Catswhisker.

• 'GB0LUN' South Dorset Radio Society 2020 DX-Pedition to Lundy

• 'GB0MBS' This annual event, known as 'International Marconi Day', commemorates the birth of Marconi.

• 'GB0MPB' A Special Event station located at Portland Bill for International Marconi Day.

• 'D-Day Remembered' These events commemorated the 50th and 60th anniversaries of D-Day and also VE/VJ Days.

• 'GB2WNF - Nothe Fort' Some pictures taken during 'International Museums on the Air Weekend' held in 2002.

• 'GQ3SDS and GO3SDS' Special events stations for the Queens Diamond Jubilee and the 2012 Olympics.

• 'ILLW' International Lighthouse and Lightship Weekend.

• 'M2Z' This is the SDRS special contest callsign.

• 'GB75OF' A Special Event station commemorating the 75th anniversary of D-Day.
