The majority of the surviving community objects are related to social activities hosted by Amache's many community groups and organizations, particularly the dances that were held in the mess halls. Min Tonai, a former incarceree who was a social high schooler during the time, recounted that the mess hall staff would make inexpensive egg sandwiches and Kool-Aid for dance refreshments. Tickets, flyers, and dance “bids” or invitations, were all produced according to the type of dance and the organizing group.
