At Amache, clubs and organizations were organized by the Community Activities Section, the school, or incarcerees. These included churches, activity groups, and branches of national organizations such as the YWCA and Boy Scouts, and sports teams. The most well-established of the organizations (the churches and Boy Scouts, for example) received designated use of one of the Recreation Halls at the center of each barrack block.
