There are a few examples of artwork that were made as stand-alone artworks, instead of serving a commercial or community function. They typically depicted birds, landscapes, and flowers. Interestingly, only single examples of these works are known, despite the fact that they can be seen for sale in photographs of the 1944 carnival. They were also sold in the variety section of the Co-op.
