Take a walk through historic George Town to admire colourful shophouses, clan houses, traditional markets and waterfront communities. Delegates can also explore cultural areas such as Little India, the Clan Jetties and the heritage streets surrounding Armenian Street. Visitors are encouraged to dress respectfully when entering religious or cultural sites.
Food and Local Flavours
Explore local favourites such as char koay teow, Penang laksa, nasi kandar, curry mee, hokkien mee, rojak and cendol. Food experiences are available across George Town, Tanjung Bungah, Tanjung Tokong and Batu Ferringhi. Delegates with dietary restrictions should check ingredients with vendors, particularly for dishes containing seafood, pork, nuts or strong spices.
