1. What is ALNIC 2026?
ALNIC 2026 is the UiTM Academy of Language Studies (APB) Northern Region International Conference 2026, held as part of ALNIC & IID 2026. The conference brings together academics, researchers, students, and other participants to share research and innovation in language, literacy, and AI-enhanced education.
2. When and where will ALNIC 2026 be held?
ALNIC 2026 will take place on 17–18 September 2026 in Penang, Malaysia, at Mercure Penang Beach Hotel, Tanjung Bungah.
3. Is the conference physical or online?
ALNIC 2026 is conducted in hybrid mode, which includes on-site participation and video submission.
4. What are the conference sub-themes?
The conference welcomes submissions under the following sub-themes:

Language Literacy and Linguistics
Innovation in Language Learning
AI and Technology in Language Education and Learning
Community Empowerment via Language and Education
5. Who can participate in ALNIC 2026?
ALNIC 2026 welcomes participation from academics, researchers, students, and other interested participants. Submissions are open to all eligible participants.
6. How do I submit my abstract?
Authors may submit their work through the Abstract Submission section. A submission template is provided to assist authors in preparing their abstracts.
7. What is the deadline for abstract submission?
The deadline for abstract submission is 31 May 2026.
8. Is there an extended abstract submission?
Yes. The deadline for extended abstract submission is 3 July 2026.
9. Is there a full paper submission deadline?
Yes. The deadline for full paper submission is 1 December 2026.
10. How much is the registration fee?
The registration fees are as follows:
On-site Presenter:
Normal Rate: RM500
Early Bird & Student (15 March - 15 May): RM450
On-site Non-presenter:
RM350
Online Presenter:
Normal Rate: RM400
Early Bird & Student (15 March - 15 May): RM350
11. In what currency should payment be made?
All fees must be paid in RM through the designated payment gateway.
12. Are there any awards for presenters?
Yes. ALNIC 2026 offers Best On-Site Poster Presentation Awards and Best Video Poster Presentation Awards, with categories for Student, Local, and International participants.
13. What is the presentation format?
ALNIC 2026 includes video poster presentations. Presenters are advised to follow the presentation guidelines provided by the secretariat.
14. Are there publication opportunities?
Yes. Selected work may be considered for conference proceedings and related publication opportunities, subject to the relevant requirements and review process.
15. Where can I find the programme schedule and conference materials?
Conference materials, including the Programme Schedule, Programme Book, and Conference Proceedings, will be made available in the designated materials section.
