Drivetrain:
S-Ride derailleur
46/30 crankset
11-42 (Shimano 11 speed cassette)
Gear inches: 19 to 113 gear inches (with 650b X 50)
The S-Ride derailleur shifts a total of 49T. This would allow the following:
A 46/30 crankset and 11-42 (Shimano 11 speed cassette) that has a total of 47T [(46-30 = 16T) + (42-11 = 31T) = 47T];
S-Ride RD-M520C Overlength Cage, Max Sprocket: 46/50/52t; 11 speed Shimano compatible
Capacity: 49T
Weight: 269g
Compatible with Shimano 105 ST-5800 and GRX 600/810 road shifters
Shimano 11 speed cassettes: 11-40; 11-42; 11-46
11-42T cassette works with both 1x11 and 2x11 drivetrains https://www.jensonusa.com/Shimano-Deore-CS-M5100-11-Speed-Cassette

Double mullet: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0YWe7x6YONg
I comment everywhere telling everyone to get a 42/26t double crankset and a 9 speed cassette: 11-40t. Big ring is 1x for the road. LIttle ring is 1x for off road.
42/26 X 11-40 = 17.3 - 101.3 gear inches
(42-26 = 16) + (40-11 = 29) = 45T

i run 9 speed shimano sora on my gravelbike with 46/30 crank and 11-40 sunrace cassette with a alivio mtb rear derailleur (with no link to extend). Runs flawless for 2 years now
Been running 44/34 in front with 9-46 in the back for over a year with no problems. Love it. Sram Force 11 speed shifters with a GX 11 sp + goatlink in back.

A well-priced and capable mech for mega-range setups, if missing a barrel adjuster and cage lock
Huge capacity
Select Shimano 11-speed road/gravel compatible
Clutch could be stronger
Heavy shifting
Low ground clearance
No barrel adjuster
No cage lock
