Antisemitic behavior is not acceptable. Indiana University has adopted the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) definition of antisemitism. At IU, respect for all community members' feelings and perspectives is expected. Free speech is permitted and welcome as long as it is not used to harass or intimidate others. This right to engage in free speech does not allow for discrimination or harassment “that creates a hostile environment for one or more individuals,” especially from protected classes, including ethnicity, national origin, race, and religion. IU policies apply to faculty, staff, and students.
