C: For this assignment I had two different topic ideas that I was stuck between choosing. They were both topics that were personal to me but one would have required a lot of interviewing people and the other (that I ended up choosing), had a lot of information and facts already available that I could link in to my and friends/family personal experiences. For the mediums I was between doing an information poster or a powerpoint, but in the end, chose the powerpoint as I thought it would be the best way to be engaging and get all my points across.
H: I was able to bring other people perspectives into this as it is a topic that is personal to me and my family/friends. Everyone that I know from home has had some kind of experience with the issue so I was able to get a lot of stories from them. I also spoke to my dad a lot about it as he is someone in my life that it has had a great affect on, but he also has a lot of knowledge on the topic so was able to help me with resources to use and look at to help with my work.
I: My process included a lot of googling and researching facts so that I had solid statistics to back up what I was saying. It also included speaking to a lot of people close to me to get their experiences. And lastly, talking a lot to my dad was a very helpful source. I was able to get his experiences to back up my points and he was able to help me a lot with what facts are good to include and where to find them.
J: For my project I chose to have University students attending orientation as my audience. This then helped me to pick the medium of the powerpoint as, usually when attending orientation, it is the most commonly used platform to deliver information. By doing so, I was able to gather all my facts and information and compile and choose which ones were important enough to include so that the presentation stays interesting and engaging.
