Cybersecurity Training
Through my cybersecurity training, I learned how to protect against cybersecurity threats. Common examples of cybersecurity threats are phishing and malware. Phishing is definitely the most common because it's the easiest to be fooled by. Attackers mimic emails seemingly coming from a school or organization and clicking the links attached to the email gives attackers access to your personal data. The training suggested to read emails and links more carefully before full-heartedly believing them to be official/true. Overall, this training helped me understand the risks of cybersecurity threats and now I know to not believe things on a surface-level. Completing this training gave me my Cybersecurity Training Certificate, click the button below to view it.
Cybersecurity in the News
For this project, I had to find two different recent articles surrounding cybersecurity threats. From the articles, I learned that a lot of people fall for internet scams, way more than I expected. I had to summarize the articles and evaluate the sources provided. Overall, this project provided me with more information on cybersecurity and prevention tactics against harmful cyberattacks. I also learned how to personally specify each aspect of the sources I chose.
