For Baldwin Wallace's Ovation (a yearly student showcase), I designed this poster to highlight the findings of my study.
Using Mike Morrison's philosophy on how to make a better research poster, I hoped to draw attention to the main finding of my study with a section of the poster that contrasted with the rest.

Goal: Encourage new member sign-ups and reshape audience perception of the club’s inclusivity.
Result: Increase in post Likes as compared to last year, and multiple comments and DMs asking questions.
At the start of the 2024–2025 school year, our running club president and I identified a recurring challenge in our outreach: many students assumed our club was only for experienced or competitive runners. To address this perception, we decided to create a Q&A-style Instagram carousel that would answer common questions and highlight the club’s welcoming, all-levels environment.
Using Canva, I adapted a free template to align with our existing brand guidelines, which the president and I had established the previous year. I customized elements of the template—such as icons, layout spacing, and accent decals—to add variation across slides while maintaining a cohesive look.
A key part of our content strategy was to reinforce our brand voice: upbeat, friendly, and community-focused. I carried that tone through the text using approachable language, double exclamation points, and emoji cues to make the post feel warm and conversational. This consistent tone helps strengthen brand recognition across our social channels and fosters engagement among both new and returning members.
The post successfully generated higher engagement than previous content, with increased likes and several direct messages from interested students asking how to join. These interactions indicated not only greater visibility but also improved audience perception—signaling that the campaign effectively lowered barriers for potential members and supported our recruitment goals for the semester.

I hand-designed my announcements for my graduation from Baldwin Wallace University.
Drawing inspiration from other templates, I utilized Canva to create an announcement that I printed. I made both the front (left) and the back (right) of the card.

This poster includes Mike Morrison's philosophy for better research posters by including a central statement of the findings in the center of the poster.
I made the executive decision to keep the central box white as opposed to a solid color for this poster, as the solid color was too busy in addition to the tables that I wanted to include.
