This was my first assignment in the Level Design 10 Weeks CGMA Course. An Asian Alley with a "T" intersection.

This exercice goal was to create a level an Asian City alley with a "T" junction intersection. So my main approach was to look for references and understand the key aspects of what makes an Asian City look Asian and spice it a little by turning it Cyberpunk.
Conclusion:
Lots of stairs
Contrast between narrow and open spaces
Strong Neon Lighting (Cyberpunk)
Use of Chinese sinograms to reinforce the setting
High contrast between rich and poor districts
Make the player explore despite being a very linear level.
Make the alley feel alive with people and little scenes going on.
Make the player move between heights to generate a more fun to explore path.
Make some enviromental storytelling to add flavour.
