An Arrest Report must be filed for any individual taken into FBI custody, whether through warrant or probable cause. This report includes detailed information on the suspect, the reason for arrest, specific charges, evidence collected, and whether any force was used during the encounter. It should also confirm that Miranda rights were read, outline how the suspect was transported, and identify the final holding location. The arrest narrative should clearly explain what led to the arrest and how it was carried out. Arrest reports must be submitted within 12 hours of the arrest event.
Please note that a seperate Warrant Service Report (FD-009) must be filed if the suspect had an outstanding warrant.
