The Raid Uniform prescribes the authorized clothing, identification, and equipment configuration for agents conducting planned entry operations, arrests, search warrants, and other tactical enforcement actions where clear federal identification and immediate operational functionality are required. The raid uniform should not be used for standard tactical combat deployments, undercover operations, or duty use.
Authorized Usage:
Authorized Users
The Raid Uniform may be worn by Special Agents assigned to tactical response, medium-high risk warrant execution, or temporarily part of a tactical unit.
Authorized Situations
Execution of search or arrest warrants with anticipated resistance or higher risk.
Coordinated raids with other law enforcement agencies.
Hostage rescue, barricade, or high-risk entry ops under FBI or joint command.
Tactical training when designated by the instructing agent.
Approval Requirements
Use of the Raid Uniform must be authorized by the on-scene Supervisor, tactical unit leadership, or Special Agent in Charge (SAIC) prior to deployment. Any changes from the standard Raid Uniform (including modified color schemes, alternate armor carriers, or nonstandard identification) must be approved by the Special Agent in Charge. Unauthorized use of the Raid Uniform constitutes a uniform policy violation and may result in administrative action.
