Remember to clean, drain and dry all your boat, gear/trailer between visits to your lake or any lake. Help prevent the movement of invasive species into Alberta or other lakes. If you bring a boat from out of province or country you must have it checked at one of the Alberta border watercraft inspection stations checking for contaminated watercraft.

2025 NSC Catamaran Clinic
The sailing conditions were challenging for this year’s participants on the Saturday and Sunday after the rains.
Friday was a more sedate day and allowed non catamaran owners a chance to catch a ride.
Demonstration work continued on the Seaspray restoration. The plan is to get this Seaspray sailing by this season's end.
The sailing level of our sailor participants has reached a level that is impressive. Considering the challenging conditions Clinic participants sailed in, without mishap, I think it is safe to say that our four years of clinics has helped to contribute to everyone’s skill level improvement. Although we didn’t practice any particular sailing exercises, due to conditions, the stronger winds were challenging.
Discussion topics included GPS watches and their potential benefits, The Lake Newell Sailing Challenge, Race Yourself and other general topics.
The NSC potluck on Saturday night was well attended and the food was great.
Visitors included a Drone pilot who took some great footage on the water, windsurfers who came for a catamaran ride and members who were interested in catamaran sailing.
Seven Seasprays, three different Nacra models, and one 20’ Super Cat
were the types of catamarans sailed at the 2025 clinic.
