Air-SATREPS at 1st CSE Conference
AIR-SATREPS contributed to the establishment of the Cambodian Society for Environmental Science and Engineering (CSE), Cambodia’s first academic society dedicated to the environment, and served as one of the organizers of its inaugural annual conference, CSE 2026.

Our parallel session brought together researchers, students, and five guest speakers from Japan to exchange knowledge on air quality and environmental research.
One Best Oral Presentation Award and two Best Poster Presentation Awards recognized outstanding presentations.
Our exhibition booth and laboratory tour showcased AIR-SATREPS research activities and facilities.
Thank you to all speakers, presenters, and participants for supporting scientific exchange and collaboration toward better air quality in Cambodia.

Japan–Cambodia High School Science Exchange on Airborne Microorganisms
On 7 August 2026, the AIR-SATREPS Project joined the Hirameki☆Tokimeki Science program, “The Invisible World of Microorganisms,” organized by the Osaka Research Institute of Environment, Agriculture and Fisheries and Osaka Ohtani University.As part of the program, researchers and students in Cambodia participated in an online exchange with Japanese high school students. The Cambodian team introduced Cambodia, shared AIR-SATREPS activities on air quality monitoring, and explained research on airborne microorganisms and their relationship with particulate matter. The session provided an opportunity for students in Japan and Cambodia to exchange perspectives on air pollution and the invisible microorganisms present in the atmosphere, while encouraging scientific curiosity and international collaboration among young students.

On 16 October 2025, the AIR-SATREPS Project proudly participated in the 2025 Annual Event of the Blue Skies & Net Zero 2050 Campaign in Cambodia, held at the Institute of Technology of Cambodia (ITC) under the theme: Smart Steps for Clean Air: Innovation, Youth, and Action for 2050
The event brought together policymakers, researchers, students, development partners, and representatives from the Ministry of Environment to accelerate solutions for cleaner air and climate resilience.
Participants also joined a Science Walk, exploring Cambodia’s air quality monitoring systems, laboratory facilities, and mobile monitoring technologies, demonstrating how innovation and research translate into real-world impact.
