Gateway to the US Air and Space Force
This is the point that could possibly define your next 20 years.
Here, is where you talk to an Air Force liaison, this is the point where you will list your top 10 or so preferred careers.
It's VERY important that you don’t approach the recruiting process "Job Locked" meaning, that you are only willing to accept ONE job. Think about it, you are applying for a job with little to no experience. You wouldn't go to a hospital and demand a job as an x-ray technician right out of high school, so why would you demand the same of the Air Force? The Air Force is willing to give you FREE education and technical training to better YOUR life! Your chances of success will greatly increase if you are more open to jobs that are in demand.
Your number 1 needs to be just as cool as your number 10. If you have already taken the ASVAB, it's never a bad idea to come to MEPS with a prepared list of careers you desire. Check this out for scores and options you have! My job at this point is to get you one of your listed preferences. Keep in mind, we have over 150 different careers and I might call or text you with options outside of your preferences. It's my JOB to position you where you will flourish!
