Greg said general rule of thumb is quote anything below $10,000 in the rater.
Quoting – this is an agent choice. Acuity never forces you to quate anything. However, you can quote anything on any size on our rating system. Let’s break that down a little.
Please don’t quote anything large and complex – you will spend a lot of valuable time and we may ask additional questions or decline the risk.
Quote below $10,000 in WP in your office– there is no magic in this number and I made it up, but it tends to work.
We aim for path of least resistance. If you can produce an application easily and have some lead time, please submit it, and let us quote.
Where quoting is an agent’s best friend is usually on new business with short lead times. It may be easier to quote than to prepare an app., submit it and wait for a response. Beware some larger risks require loss control; and need more lead time. Feel free to ask first.
Some business is one and done. – This means you can quote and bind immediately. Our system tells you when this is available. Otherwise, submit your quoted application electronically from the rating system. We tell you the reasons we want the underwriter involved. From an underwriter perspective these are the easiest things to handle.
