Essential skills Module

Looking to give yourself a head start with your studies? This short e-module will introduce you to the key academic skills you need at university level, and how and where these fit into your course, as well as practical strategies for developing these skills with sessions and resources from the Skills Centre.

The Essential Skills for Academic Success e-module should take 30-45 minutes to complete and you can save your progress and return any time. 

How to enrol

Self-enrol onto this module via Blackboard. Watch the video for guidance, or follow the six steps below. 

1. Log into MyHallam

2. Scroll to Organisations to support your learning

3. Search for Essential skills for academic success

4. Click on the down-facing arrow next to the Site ID and select Enrol

5. Click Submit

6. Click Ok

You will not have access to this module until you are fully enrolled.
