* The employment effect is the aggregate employment effect in Germany (full-time and part-time workers). The welfare effect is the expected utility effect (on all workers working, searching, or abstaining from the labour market). It is monetized as the equivalent wage rise generating the same expected utility increase the year the minimum wage is implemented. Future mean wages are predicted values based a log-linear time-series regression. Equity is measured as 1 - G, where G is the Gini coefficient of wage inequality across all workers. Aggregate welfare is not adjusted for unemployment aversion or inequality aversion.
