For Bengalis worldwide, it is “that” time of the year again. Maa ashchen! Covid-19 had put a damper on the 2020 celebrations, and 2021 was celebrated with caution, with some face-to-face and some online components. This year, Ulhaas has the wheels rolling for a grand celebration. The organization hopes to bring together the entire community to celebrate this auspicious event, give a sense of belonging to members far away from their homeland, and an opportunity to the little ones to learn about their rich heritage. To this end, Ulhaas has started with a bang with the Annual AGM, followed by the Rabindra-Nazrul Jayanti, Summer Picnic and Mahalaya, and after celebrating Durga Pujo, will continue on to Lakshmi Pujo, Kali Pujo, Winter Holiday Party and Saraswati Pujo.
