Safe Sport

At AGAC, our primary focus as a team is to work together to become better versions of ourselves both in, and outside of the water. Sportsmanship, teamwork and leadership are part of our core values as coaches, and are characteristics that we aim to instill in our athletes and expect them to display at all times. We strive to create a positive team environment where athletes support each other and work together to achieve both individual and team goals.

AGAC is committed to providing athletes with a safe environment at all practices, meets, trips and other activities. AGAC and all of its coaches and staff adhere to the USA Swimming SafeSport policies listed on this site.

All members of the Arroyo Grande Aquatics staff, as members of USA Swimming and employees of Lucia Mar Unified School District, are mandated reporters. A mandated reporter is a person who, because of his/her profession, is legally required to report any suspicion of child abuse or neglect to the relevant authorities. These laws are in place to prevent children from being abused and to end any possible abuse or neglect at the earliest stage possible.
