Ms. Afrika Abney has had the opportunity to use her formal training and education to provide art instruction to numerous students throughout the Washington, D. C.. region. Some of her previous projects include Higher Achievement's Summer Camp Academy (2003- 2004), and in 2013 and Young Playwrights' Theatre (YPT) SoJam Program (2012-2013).
From August 2023 - October 2023, Ms. Abney disseminated numerous flyers in person to many venues located in Washington, D.C. Some of them include Emery Heights Community Center formerly known as Emery Recreation Center, Fort Stevens Senior Center, Center City PCS - Brightwood Campus, and other venues located in Washington, D.C..
