In Chapter 2, we learned about Taking Trips. In the first activity, we were asked to make a vlog about a trip that happened in the past. In the second activity, we wrote notes about simple present tense, recount text, language features, and memorize examine.

This chapter helped me learn how to tell a story about a travel experience in English. I also learned more about the structure of a recount text and the language features used to tell events that happened in the past. Through these activities, I learned how to organize and tell a personal experience more clearly.

My feelings during this chapter were quite mixed. This is because I rarely record videos when I go somewhere. Usually, I only take photos. However, I was lucky because I had a video when I went to a beach in my hometown in Pacitan, East Java. In the end, I decided to use that video as my vlog for this assignment.

The hardest thing I faced in this chapter was choosing which vlog to use. I felt very confused at first because I really did not have many videos of my trips. So I had to look carefully for a video that I could use for this task.

Even so, I kept trying to finish this assignment because it is my responsibility as a student, and I will get a grade if I complete it. I was also helped by my older sibling while doing this task. Most of the videos I used were given by my sibling.

If I could whisper one thing to Ma’am about this chapter, I would say that the activity of making a vlog in the Taking Trips chapter was interesting because it helped us remember our past travel experiences. It also helped us practice telling those experiences in English.
