Reflection chapter 1: Exploring Fauna
Reflection chapter 1: Exploring Fauna
In Chapter 1, we learned about several animals such as the Sumatran elephant, bird-of-paradise, orangutan, and proboscis monkey. In this chapter, we were asked to create a campaign about one of these animals. At first, I felt confused about which animal to choose because all of them are interesting. After thinking about it, I decided to choose the bird-of-paradise because it is unique and very beautiful.
In the second activity, we were asked to draw a proboscis monkey in the middle of our book. After that, we did a gallery walk. During the gallery walk, we walked around to see pictures of animals and wrote the information we found on the papers.
At the end of Chapter 1, there was a chapter assessment. Actually, the questions were quite easy because we had already learned the material before. However, I only got a score of 66. But it’s okay, because I will study harder and try to do better in the next chapters.
During this chapter, the change before and after learning did not feel very significant because the task was not too difficult. However, the challenging part was when I had to present my campaign in front of the class. I felt very nervous and needed a lot of confidence to speak in front of my classmates. In this chapter, there was no part that felt very hard. The only thing that confused me at the beginning was choosing which animal I would campaign for. After I decided, the rest of the task was quite easy. I was able to finish the assignment because it was not too complicated and did not require too much effort.
If I could whisper one thing to Ma’am about this chapter, I would say that Chapter 1: Exploring Fauna was quite enjoyable because it helped us learn more about different animals and understand the importance of protecting them.
