Major Players

Across the states and territories there are lots of important places. After the Shockwave tore across the land there were significantly fewer places that stood not in ruins. The wasteland remains inhospitable and full of dangers. Remnants of the recovering nations, that once stood proud before the Shockwave, are slowly reclaiming the wastes.

The Confederacy is located in the Southeast of the continent. They are a proud people.

The Republic of Texas is located West and a little South of the Confederacy. They are known for their innovative mechanics, their oil fields, and over-sized cattle.

The Union is located in the Northeast of the continent. Known for mining and the second biggest source of aether crystals on the continent.

The Great Tribes control the area West of the Mississippi and East of the Rocky Mountains. They have formed a loose conglomerate for dealing with the settlers. In The Junction they operate out of a large rustic building on the edge of town.

The Expanded Empire of California controls the North East of the Continent. When the Chinese Empire heard about the aether crystal deposits in the Americas they sent a force to take over. It is the largest source of aether crystals and gold on the continent.

The Junction is located smack dab in the middle of everything. The Junction is on sovereign ground and free of regulations and the taxation of any other nation. The Junction is ideally located to be the major trade center of the western world.

Free Cities are scattered along the borders between nations and in isolated regions of the continent.

Aethersphere, the Dreamlands, the Spirit Realm, the Astral Plane, all names for the same area. The Aethersphere is a non-physical space where mind is definitely stronger than matter.

Other Players: Corporations have gained tremendous power, some hold as much power as nations themselves. To avoid national laws and regulations many companies have headquartered in The Junction.
