Introduction to Astronomy & Celestial Dynamics
Specially designed for school students (grades 8th-12th)
Specially designed for school students (grades 8th-12th)
This course provides middle and early high school students with a foundational understanding of the universe. Students will explore planetary systems, the life cycles of stars, optical equipment, and modern space exploration through visual simulations and conceptual problem-solving.
Understand the scale, structure, and dynamics of the Solar System.
Trace the life cycles of various star types using physical principles.
Learn how optical telescopes work and how to navigate celestial maps.
Analyze exoplanet detection methods used by real space agencies.
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
Explain the structure and planetary dynamics of the Solar System.
Outline the main stages of stellar evolution and cosmic lifecycles.
Understand the operation of optical telescopes and basic sky navigation.
Identify different galaxy types and core concepts of cosmology.
Recognize primary methods used to detect exoplanets and search for life.
