High School Astrophysics
Specially designed for school students (grades 8th-12th)
Specially designed for school students (grades 8th-12th)
Designed for advanced high school students comfortable with high school physics and algebra. This course bridges standard physics concepts with cosmic phenomena, covering orbital mechanics, light behavior, nuclear fusion inside stars, and general relativity.
Apply gravitational laws to calculate orbital parameters and escape velocities.
Interpret electromagnetic spectra to determine stellar temperature, composition, and velocity.
Understand the nuclear processes driving star engines and stellar equilibrium.
Explore the principles of spacetime curvature and modern observational data analysis.
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
Calculate orbital properties and escape velocity using gravitational laws.
Analyze electromagnetic spectra to deduce stellar temperature and composition.
Describe the mechanisms of nuclear fusion and stellar equilibrium.
Discuss basic principles of spacetime curvature and high-energy physics.
Interpret real astronomical datasets to measure cosmic distances and expansion.
