Territory Challenge Examples

» There is some strategy involved with challenging another pack's territory. The number of high proficiency-level wolves in your pack increases your chances of winning. 

Skill Proficiency Modifiers

» Each level of skill proficiency grants the pack additional points. These points are added to the RNG that is rolled when two packs are about to fight.

» The Combat, Scouting, and Resourcefulness skills will all come into play when battling another pack.

» The modifier is adjusted by the packs' majority skill level proficiency in each category. These modifiers are applied to each skill, which means the highest boost you could get out of all three categories would be a +30. 

• Lists of Modifier Levels:

• Novice: + 2

• Intermediate: + 4

• Adept: + 6

• Expert: + 8

• Masterful: + 10

Rolling for Results

» You may roll once for a territory dispute success or failure. There will be a form and a specific channel for this in the Discord.

» After your intended target accepts the challenge, the staff will run the calculation by using this formula:

• (RNG 1-20+ SPL Modifier total) vs (RNG 1-20+ SPL Modifier total)

• 'SPL Modifier total' refers to the total amount of bonus points accumulated in all three skill categories. 'RNG 1-20' is a randomly generated number between 1-20. 

» Greater number 'wins.' If your pack rolls a natural 20 (with no modifiers), it is an automatic win.

» In the case of a tie, there will be one more roll.

Pack Examples

» Pack A decides to challenge Pack B for a section of their territory. They would like to expand their borders to a large size, but Pack B is in the way. Here is the breakdown of each pack's stats. 

• Pack A has a total of ten adult members.

  • • • Combat: 8/10 wolves are Adept, 2/10 are Experts. Gaining them + 6.

      • Resourcefulness: 6/10 wolves are Experts, 4/10 are Adept. Gaining them + 8.

      • Scouting: 7/10 wolves are Intermediate, 3/10 are Experts. Gaining them + 4.

      • Pack's A's SPL Modifier Total would be +18. 

• Pack B has a total of ten adult members.

  • • • Combat: 6/10 wolves are Masterful, 4/10 are Intermediate. They gain +10

      • Resourcefulness: 7/10 wolves are Novice, 3/10 are Adept. They gain + 2

      • Scouting: 8/10 wolves are Expert, 2/10 are Intermediate. They gain + 8.

      • Pack B's SPL Modifier Total would be +20. 

• The two packs roll, and their results are as follows:

  • • • Pack A's (2 + 18) vs Pack B's (4 + 20) = 20 vs 24. Pack B wins. Since they were the intended target, they may choose to keep the borders the same, or they can choose to take up to 1/3 of Pack A's territory as retaliation.
