3 examples of conflict resolution:
Meditation and the ability to stay calm.
When people disagree with each other, it's important to talk, behave and respond calmy in healthcare. Usually, when people's communication is heated, the possibility of figuring out a positive and professional outcome that works for everyone is reduced to a minimum. Staying calm and meditating ensures that medical professionals are able to put patient's health and safety first, regardless of the possible miscommunications and unexpected situations.
Active listening
Being an active listener means to respect and most importantly, hear and acknowledge the other person's presented information. It is crucially important to be able to hear one another in healthcare, because a failure of this procedure can cost someone's life and wellbeing.
Negotiation
I feel like this is the most important conflict resolution tactic, that is why I explain it last. As healthcare professionals, we have to find a mutually accepted solution and come to a positive conclusion that ensures everyone's safety. It is important to be able to find a compromise when dealing with conflicts in any situation to be able to provide the best care possible for patients.
